About the Artist

I began painting when I was 12 years old with lessons at a studio near our home.  Painting intrigues me.  I love the canvas, mixing the paint and applying it with brushes and palette knife.  I love the visual story created in a painting.

Following the art path, I earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from UCLA.  My college years focused on the intellectual side of art and what it is you want to say with your art.  That led me to focus on Fine Art Photography.  I studied under some great professors.  Upon graduating, life took a different turn.

I discovered accounting and chose it for a career.  Surprisingly, I loved it.  Soon I was happily married, had kids and settled into an enjoyable lifestyle.  Pursuing art took a backseat during that season.

Now entering a new season, I have discovered plein air painting.  I love to paint God’s creation outdoors.  So satisfying.  With each painting, I strive to convey the beautiful peaceful nature of our landscapes focusing on the light.  Especially California landscapes near the ocean.

Life, like painting, is a journey and there is always a new adventure around the corner.

I hope you enjoy my paintings.

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
